பசுமை தமிழ்நாடு திட்டம்; ஐந்தாண்டில் 33% காடுகள்Green Tamil Nadu scheme; 33% forests in five years

2031-ஆம் ஆண்டுக்குள் தமிழ்நாட்டின் காடுகளின் பரப்பை 33% ஆக அதிகரிக்க த.வெ.க. அரசு உறுதி கொண்டுள்ளது. பழங்குடியினருடன் இணைந்து கிழக்குத் தொடர்ச்சி மலையில் உள்ள சந்தன மரங்கள் சீரமைப்பு மற்றும் அதனால் உருவாகும் பொருளாதார வாய்ப்புகள் போன்றவை ஒழுங்குபடுத்தப்படும். காடுகளுக்குத் தொடர்பற்ற வெளிநாட்டு விலங்குகளுக்குப் பதிலாகக் காடுகளுடன் அதிகம் தொடர்புடைய உள்ளூர் விலங்குகள் வாழ்வமர்த்தப்படும்.The TVK government is committed to increasing Tamil Nadu's forest cover to 33% by the year 2031. In partnership with tribal communities, the restoration of sandalwood trees in the Eastern Ghats and the economic opportunities arising from it will be regularised. In place of foreign animals unconnected to the forests, local animals more connected to the forests will be settled.
