Traditional sports development scheme

A rural olympics series will be held to revive and promote Tamil Nadu's traditional sports. ₹5 lakh state funding will be given to conduct jallikattu events; ₹10 lakh to the family of a tamer who dies in jallikattu and ₹2 lakh to an injured competitor. ₹5 crore a year will fund international-level silambam competitions, with a thousand silambam training centres across the state.
