Minimum support price for fish

For the first time in India, a minimum support price will be fixed for prawn, sardine, mackerel and squid. To prevent fishers from being hurt by price falls when large quantities of these fish reach the market, the shortfall amount will be credited directly into fishers' bank accounts.
