These river-linking projects - Cauvery-Vaigai-Gundar, Thenpennaiyaru-Palar, Pennaiyaru-Cheyyaru, Thamirabarani-Vaippar - have all been announced but are still not fully implemented. To implement them immediately, Rs 5000 crore will be allocated and the works completed quickly.
