An immediate ban will be imposed on increases in fixed charges and peak-hour charges of electricity for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Further, after a detailed study, electricity tariffs will be rationalised. Under the 'Vettri Solar Mission', MSME enterprises that install rooftop solar panels on their company roofs will be given a 100% electricity tax exemption for five years.
