The TVK government will work to reduce the social and financial burdens caused by alcohol through controlled reduction of alcohol availability, strong de-addiction programmes, and awareness led by women's groups. In particular, it will be ensured that TASMAC shops located near schools and temples are immediately closed or relocated, and a safe environment will be established.
